MWC themed visit to older people with functional mental illness

Closed 17 Feb 2020

Opened 31 Jan 2020

Overview

This online questionnaire can be completed by psychiatrists currently working in NHS Scotland.

This survey should take no more than 10 minutes to complete.

The aim of this questionnaire is to seek the views of psychiatrists regarding the transition from adult psychiatry services to old age psychiatry services, sometimes known as ‘graduate arrangements’.

The closing date for responses is Monday 17 February 2020.

National findings will be presented in our themed visit report, due for publication in 2020.

Why We Are Consulting

The Commission carried out a series of visits to wards for older people with functional mental illness late last year. One of the areas we are interested in following up on is ‘graduate arrangements’ from adult acute to old age psychiatry wards.

Information from you will be included anonymously in a final report written by the Mental Welfare Commission.

We need to know your home health board but we do not need to know your name.

When we use quotes in the final report we will only identify a service if the comment is positive; we do not give the name of the person giving the quote.

Negative comments may be used in the report but will not identify the name of any service.

At the end of the survey you will be invited to add your email address. This is not compulsory, but recommended as you will receive a confirmation of your submission (and a copy of your responses). Also, this code will allow us to locate your response if you change your mind after submitting the survey. We will not use your email address in any other way. We are not asking for your name in the online survey.

Online responses will be populated in our secure system.
